Bid Title: City of Ithaca Cascadilla Creek Dredging

Sealed Bids for the construction of the above-named project will be received by the Office of the City Controller, 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, New York 14850, until 2:00PM local time on Thursday, November 21, 2019 and will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Bid for Cascadilla Creek Dredging" 

In general, the project consists of the following: Maintainence dredging of approximately 12,800 cubic yards of sediment from Cascadilla Creek between the Cayuga Waterfront Trail pedestrian bridge and the Cayuga Inlet; dewatering the dredged sediment on private land immediately adjacent to the segment of creek and disposing of dewatered sediment at upland sites as General Fill in accordance with a NYSDEC Beneficial Use Determination.

Amendments can only be accomplished by means of Addenda issued by the Engineer. Written questions should be addressed to David Herrick, P.E. at and copied to Michael Thorne at . Questions must be received by 5:00 PM on November 14, 2019. Questions received after the deadline may not be answered.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner.

Special Requirements:
All Bids must be made on the official Bid Forms, and be accompanied by a certified check or satisfactory bid bond, payable to the City of Ithaca, in the amount equal to 5% of the Base Bid. All such bid securities will be returned no later than the forty-sixth day after the Bid opening.
Bidders are required to contact the Engineer to schedule site visits.
