Sealed Bids for the “2023 Sidewalk Improvement District Work project located in the City of Ithaca, New York will be received by the office of the City Controller at 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, NY until February 7, 2023, at 2:00PM in the City Controller Office. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud via a virtual meeting due to pandemic restrictions.
The proposed project is to provide improvements to sidewalk segments and curb ramps throughout the City of Ithaca. The project will primarily include removal and replacement of existing sidewalk and curb ramps, and construction of new sidewalk and curb ramps. All sidewalks and curb ramps are within the City of Ithaca right of way. This project is a Unit Price contract.
BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE, ENTITLED: 2023 Sidewalk Improvement District Work BID.
A voluntary pre-bid meeting will be held on January 24, 2023, at 108 East Green Street, Ithaca, NY at 10:00AM in the City Hall Parking Lot.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a deposit in the amount of: Five Percent (5%) of the Total Gross Sum Bid in the form of a Certified Check, Bank Draft, or Bid Bond. Cash will not be acceptable as a deposit. Bid deposits of all unsuccessful bidders shall be returned promptly upon execution of the contract with the successful bidder.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner. There is no DBE participation goal required for this contract.
