I am a resident living upstairs of a bar called Silky Jones in Downtown Commons. It keeps playing loud music at night these days. I think the noise level is unreasonable. Even it is a bar, it should not affect neighbourhood's life. What disturbed me is not only the high volume of the music but also the vibration the loud music creates. I don't really know where I can report this problem. That is why I wrote here. I hope relevant departments can help me solve this problem. Thank you!

I am a resident at 120 Valentine Pl. My neighbor has been making shouting very loudly throughout the past half a year, and it gets even worse these days - he persistently made the noise from 3pm to 3am everyday. Another neighbor and I both find his noises really disruptive. We have written them many notes and even asked the landlord to send him an email about that, but he ignores that and is making even louder noise. I tried contact the police department but the officer told me it is out of its jurisdiction.
His carelessness is seriously affecting his neighbors, given in this period of time when all of us are doing social-distancing. His behavior is particularly irresponsible in this period as everyone needs to stay inside their room.
Can I know what else I can do to tackle this problem please?

My mother currently resides at Cayuga Ridge. It has been one year now. The people of Ithaca should be outraged at the lack of staffing and lack of care. I h ave several graphic details that I can go into if any is interes. Yesterday was my fourth time of filing a complaint with the state. I have sent emails to the Mayor, senator, govener. No reply, which is not surprising. Ithaca has always been a very liberal town. I think some of the liberals should make a visit to a nursing home near you, maybe then, lifetime residents will get more respect, than pass through students.
