Construction Update: 200 Block – Monroe St. (from 1st St. to 2ndSt.)
PROJECT: Road Asphalt Pavement Reconstruction
PROJECT START DATE: Monday, September 11, 2023
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Excavation of existing asphalt pavement and placement of two courses of hot mix asphalt.
LOCAL IMPACTS: Beginning on Monday, September 11th, Monroe St. will be closed to thru traffic between 1st St. and 2nd St. Vehicular access within the road closure will be provided only for emergency responders. Due to the depth of the excavation local residents will not be able to enter or exit their driveways, therefore the city recommends parking elsewhere for the duration of the project.
RECOMMENDED DETOURS IN PLACE: None.
ESTIMATED TIMEFRAME: 2 weeks.
SCHEDULED COMPLETION DATE: Friday, September 22, 2023.
