PROJECT NAME & LOCATION: North Campus Transportation Improvements – Thurston Avenue
PROJECT DESCRIPTION & GOAL: Pedestrian and Traffic Improvements
PROJECT START DATE & TIME: Ongoing
SCHEDULED COMPLETION DATE & TIME: August 13, 2021
LOCAL IMPACTS: Thurston Ave will be reduced to a single lane with alternating traffic, controlled by traffic signals. The intersections with Cradit Farm Road and Wait Avenue will be closed completely. Sidewalks on the north side of Cradit Farm Road and the west side of Thurston Ave will be closed for part of the project. Parking will be unavailable within the work zone.
DETOURS: Avoid the area if possible, delays are expected.
Northbound and eastbound traffic will be directed from Thurston Avenue to Wait Avenue, to Triphammer Road to George Jessup Road to Pleasant Grove Road.
Southbound and westbound traffic will be directed from Pleasant Grove Road to George Jessup Road to Triphammer Road to Wait Avenue to Thurston Avenue.
Pedestrians and bicyclists will be routed around work areas and may experience delays.
