Tompkins County has implemented SwiftReach’s Swift911™ alerting system. Swift911™ will allow us to alert our entire community, or specific geographic areas, with emergency messages and provide information on how to take action. The City of Ithaca has set up the following lists in Swift911™ to notify citizens about:
- Emergency Alerts
- Odd/Even Parking Notifications
- Construction Updates
- Activation of Snow Emergency Routes
- Street Cleaning Notifications
- Water Notifications
Please check back often as this list may be updated to include additional topics.
Published phone numbers have been uploaded into the system; however, it is important for residents, employees, and business owners to provide and update their contact information to ensure emergency information can be passed on to everyone in a timely manner.
There are several ways to opt-in and provide contact information or change the information we have for you:
Swift911™ Web Portal
There is a Swift911™ link with a logo on the bottom of this page. Simply click on this link and follow the instructions to provide your information.
