Boards and Committees

The Ithaca Urban Renewal Agency employs a Board and Committee structure to accomplish its work. In addition to the IURA Board, there are the following four standing Committees: Governance Committee; Neighborhood Investment Committee; Economic Development Committee; and Audit Committee. Click on the "Committee Structure" link below for more detailed information on each Committee's responsibilities. The Board and Committees each have their own meeting schedule. In-Person Public Meetings Notice
On June 23rd, 2021, Governor Cuomo announced he would not extend Executive Order 202.1, the State disaster emergency declared on March 7, 2020 to fight COVID-19. As a result, the IURA can no longer conduct Public Meetings remotely and all Public Meetings must now be conducted in person, in compliance with NYS Open Meeting Law (OML). OML applies to all legislative bodies, quasi-judicial boards, advisory committees, and comparable organizations, whether or not voting occurs at any particular meeting. If you would like to participate in or observe a meeting of the IURA Board or any of its Committees, please plan to attend in person at City Hall (108 E. Green St.). Public Comments will continue to be accepted by mail or e-mail (cpyott@cityofithaca.org); and can be read into the record if requested.

Mask Policy: Members of the public, including Board and Committee members, who have not been otherwise authorized by the City of Ithaca Human Resources Dept., will be required to wear masks in City Hall.
