Home > Mayor's Welcome
Welcome to the City of Ithaca – undeniably one of New York's most beautiful and dynamic cities! Take time to enjoy the scenery. Surrounded by rolling hills, waterfalls, Cayuga Lake, and parks of every shape and size, Ithaca's natural beauty is unmatched. We're a small city with big city amenities including a very active arts and culture scene. Ithaca is a 3-hour drive to almost anywhere in New York State, making it a popular destination for shopping, entertainment, vacation get-aways, meetings and conferences.
With the reputation of being a great place to live, work, play, dream, create, and learn, Ithaca offers a wide variety of recreational, educational, cultural, entrepreneurial, and business opportunities and programs. We use our Mission, Vision and Values Statement along with our Diversity Statement to guide us in our day-to-day operations and long term planning.
