The Ithaca Youth Bureau has served Ithaca's youth for more than 60 years by providing a wide variety of recreation programs and youth services to promote health, happiness and well-being.

The Recreation Department provides a broad range of recreation and leisure programming for youth of all ages. Recreational sports, lessons, day camps, theater classes, art classes, special events and Tot Spot are offered to youth and families. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT DIVISION Youth Development staff and volunteers work together to provide a variety of mentoring and skills development opportunities to help youth develop to their full potential. We provide programming in these areas: academic support, outdoor, adventure, mentoring, community service, civic engagement, team building, youth employment, job skills and youth leadership. |

RECREATION SUPPORT SERVICES Recreation Support Services (formerly RMS) provides year-round recreational programs for children and adults with disabilities. |

CASS PARK Cass Park is a regionally active park used heavily by residents from all parts of Tompkins County. In addition to the ice rink and swimming pool, there are 4 tennis courts, 20 athletic fields, playground equipment, an exercise trail and a large picnic pavilion. |

Mission: The Ithaca Youth Bureau strives to provide youth with the tools they need to build a successful life for themselves and change the world for the better. We believe that all citizens can be physically, mentally and spiritually healthy, and socially and civically engaged. We help prepare youth to live successful lives as adults by providing a variety of recreation and youth development opportunities that will help youth develop to their full potential. We lend support to discouraged youth who are struggling to find their place in the world. We help our program participants understand that all people have a place in this world and together we can create a better tomorrow.
