Love Knows No Bound

In keeping with Greater Ithaca Activities Center's (GIAC) mission to advocate and support people who are underrepresented and disenfranchised, GIAC is again partnering with Love Knows No Bounds (LKNB) on a relief project.

This time we are hoping to bring some relief to students and teachers in Haiti who have been displaced and lacking resources since the catastrophic earthquake of 2010. Over the next 4 weeks of our summer program we will be collecting specific school supplies - pencils, notebooks and notepaper and colored pencils.

We invite our community members to please join us in the effort and stop by GIAC with as many of these specific supplies as you can donate from now through August 18. WE hope to link our colleagues from LKNB to ship out these items in time for the September school in Haiti.

Pencil Thank you for you kind support.    Notebooks

GIAC's Mission:

The Greater Ithaca Activities Center (GIAC) is a center for all ages, particularly youth and teens.  It serves the immediate neighborhood and the greater Ithaca area by providing multicultural, educational and recreational programs focused on social and individual development.

The Center's programs include services dedicated to improving the quality of life for the people we serve; advocating for the rights and needs of youth, families, underrepresented and disenfranchised populations; providing structured employment training opportunities for at risk youth and adults; and fighting against oppression and intimidation in our community.

The Center executes this mission through its own programming and by drawing on the resources of other community agencies and individuals.
