Will the City of Ithaca host a Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary?

We don’t know yet. The Office of Cannabis Management has announced that it will issue three Conditional Adult Use Recreational Dispensary (CAURD) licenses in the Southern Tier Region, of which Ithaca is a part. These will be the first types of retail dispensary licenses issued by the State. The State aims to have the first CAURD licensees open before the end of 2022. OCM closed the application window for an entrepreneur or non-profit organization to apply for a CAURD license in September and is currently in the process of evaluating license applications and locations. The City does not have confirmation whether one of those licenses will be for a dispensary in the City of Ithaca. For more information visit. https://cannabis.ny.gov/caurd
