The City has convened a Green New Deal Transition Team. The GND transition team is a focused group of City staff and Council reps charged with setting the groundwork for GND implementation. The transition team will have a 3-4 month initial time frame during which their objectives will be establishing the location and immediate work plan of the Sustainability Manager Position, creating the position and job description, developing a hiring strategy, identifying an interview team and finally- hiring the position. The goal is to bring on the new position in late spring 2020.
